1st grade teachers... what does your state use to ess student performance?

I teach 1st grade in Tennesse and our system is looking into other ways of essing student performance. What does your school use? We have given the Terra Nova (T-CAP) tests for years. One they are looking at is DIBELS. Have any of you heard of it? Is there anything better out there?
