My cat is gone...possibly dead?

I havent seen my cat since last night and since this morning I've been looking for him. Usually I let him sleep outside in his bed on the porch because he loves the porch . and after watching him sleep I go back in the house. My mother said she seen him crossing the street getting ready to come into the house but she blocked his way and told him to "go away"...She always does that and always put him outside because she no longer likes him...but we had him for 12 years since he was kitten and i dont understand how can you suddenly hate someone...I've been looking for him every where and there are no traces of him and I fear he is dead or maybe stuck somewhere and i cant hear him....its raining out and I know he has to have some shelter in a dry warm place somewhere...im posting filers up tomorrow in hopes of finding him...i just dont want to think the worse...

S-video cable won't hook up laptop to tv?

I have an Acer Aspire 5520 and an RCA flatscreen (don't know what model, was a floor display). I bought an S-video cable to hook up my laptop to tv but it won't work. I turned the laptop off before hooking it up and turned it on the S-video input on the tv and it still says "no signal". What do I do?

Is there a way to improve your memory?

My whole family seems to suffer with short term memory loss issues. It affects the way our kids read, the way my husband asks the same question 4 different times and doesn't remember the answer I gave him and my spaciness, We are vegetarians so I wonder if we are lacking something. We have a healthy diet. I would like to add flaxseed in for Omega's. I was told to make lists and use flash cards for the kids reading but there must be other tools.

DNC vs RNC? Why are there always more attendees at the DNC?

I'm just curious as to why more people typically attend the Democratic National Convention vs. the Republican convention. I'm looking for the FACTS not smart comments about how one candidate is better than the other. John Kerry had a huge convention audience compared to the Republicans but lost the election. Does anyone have real facts about this?

Is she hypoglycemic?

this girl in our cl cannot skip any meals or she gets dizzy and starts shaking, and almost pes out. she is 16, and really skinny, and naturally doesn't eat a lot. well yesterday she looked so pale, so the school nurse asked her if she had anything to eat, and she said she had cereal, but she was so out of it, and looked,confused,shaky,her eyes were like half way open. we were trying to get her up out of her desk so she could lay down and she said she couldnt stand up. we helped her up, and her legs went out and she just fell. the nurse checked her blood sugar and it was 32. we gave her some crackers, while someone went to get a coke, and something with peanut er,and she tested it again after she ate the crackers, and it was 45, but thats still low isn't it. she was just barely conscious, but awake enough to nibble on some crackers, and sip some coke. her blood sugar finally got back to normal and she was ok, just weak/tired the rest of the day. shes not diabetic,
