On a pump should the neutral (white) be shorted to the power wires (black and red).?

I kept blowing a 20A fuse and when i disconnect the pump from the circuit board of my jacuzzi it doesnt blow. So, i got out my trusty multi-meter and found that white was shorted to the black and red (when disconnected from the circuit board). I dont work with neutral just normal groun so im kinda scratching my head. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do I need to change my personality in order for people to take me more seriously?

I appear as a very bubby, cheerful person. I'm literally known as the girl who is always happy. If you ask anyone to describe me, thats probably the response you'll get. Truth is though, deep down i'm not really a happy person.. i'm not going to go into my life story here, but my past has been a traumatizing once since birth, and i've always found it easier to smile and keep moving forward, even if deep down I sometimes feel empty. The problem is though, from the pain i've experienced, its actually made me a more compasionate, kind person. People often tell me i'm too nice, and take this as a sign of weakness, not knowing what really lies within me. I sometimes feel that I shouldn't be so nice and so giggly, because it just translates as immature and weak to most people.. even when clearly, it isn't the case. I find many guys i'm interested in write me off quickly because they see me as too sweet and childish, without getting to know me more and realizing that yes I may be sweet, but there is so much more to me than that. I know its awful for anyone to change their personality to such an extent, I mean we are who we are, but would it be better to appear more serious to people in order for them to take me more seriously? I hope my question makes sense.. and i'd really appriciate advice, cause i'm sitting in my room crying now unable to cope with this issue. I've also found that so many people are selfish and insincere, and it hurts me profoundly because i'm always thinking of others and enjoy listening to them and being there for them.. in return, I don't always get the same, so it seems like it would be easier just to be more reserved and cold. As horrible as that is, I feel it will save me the hurt I feel on a daily basis from people who aren't as open hearted. I was doing my hair, and I happened to put some oil in it. I set my gles down. When I picked them up I got a smudge of the oil on fingers onto the lenses. Normally I just clean my gles with rubbing alcohol so I tried that but the alcohol had no effect whatsoever. So I tried some soap and water and that didn't help...in fact what was interesting was that the soap didn't even lather with the oil. What should I do to get this stuff off...I really need my gles, please help.

1985 Honda Accord Carburetor question?

I recently had an 85 honda accord carb rebuilt. Inside the carb are some plastic pieces that have something to do with the idle. They were missing due to some other mechanic that messed it up (apparently they removed them and never put them back in before the car was towed to another shop)...anyway, the mechanic that rebuilt the carb said he does not know what they would be called and they are not included in the rebuild kit and he said they cannot be obtained through the dealership....Does anyone know what those parts would be called? He did some mickey mouse work and put some kind of makeshift parts in there and it worked for a short while but I really need to locate these parts ( I think he said there were two or three of them) and it would help if I could find out what they are called and what it is that they do? My husband quit his job several months ago to work at home, how do I deal with judgmental family members?

My husband worked at his job he hated for over 14 years, one day he had enough of his boss and all the stress, so he quit and he now works at home with me. It came as a surprise to our in-laws who now seem to be keeping us at a distance since he quit. Where we used to talk and see each other once a week, we now only email once a month if that. My sister in law is very judgmental, she speaks openly her opinions about my husband's parent's financial decisions (behind their backs of course!) Now I feel that she must be judging us, as she made some comments that let me know she didn't approve of my husband's decision. When we do have get-togethers conversations seem strained, not friendly like before. My sister in law has told us about people she "black lists" because of things they have done to annoy her. I feel we have been blacklisted, and I don't know how to broach the subject with her, or if I even should. We are doing well working from home and we are happier than ever with all the extra family time we have, and we don't miss for one minute all the stress of his old job. I think my sister in law expected us to fail miserably, or expects us to still fail. The bible is basically a book of tales written by an unknown author. If I were to hand you a book of myths that were impossible for mind kind to accomplish and said this book is TRUE, but the author is anonymous, what would you think? You'd think it's a stupid book and that I'm out of my mind. Then why do you believe the bible? In essence, it is the same thing. The only difference is that it explains something that does not yet have an answer. The creator, and we all want an explanation. I do believe that the bible is a book to set forth morals for it's followers. I'd say that evolution is very plausible considering that sharks used to be enormous, but have shrunk over the years. Humans used to be a lot shorter, but in time they have being larger. It's really all what you want to believe. Cant keep prenatal vitamins down??? help!!!?

my doctor told me to take a womens multi vitamin while we were trying to concieve and she said switch to a prenatal when i got a positve test well i got my positive test about 2 weeks ago and i was still taking the multi vitamin withthe folic acid like she said then i got the one a day womens prenatal that ahs the dha/ ara pill with it that is really good for the babys development and growth. and i took it two days in a row when i ate ( just before i ate) and after i ate and had one or two bites left i had to puke i didnt take it today and i did not puke. please help i need to be able to take vitamins!!!! i called doctors nurse she said stop taking the vitamins until my visit in two weeks on nov 4th. but early pregnancy is a major development time for baby and i ahve been doing everything to be good to this baby. any thing i can do to help keep them down. when i puke i am sure the vitamins just come right up too since it is 5-10 minutes after i take them

Ok I have 2 jobs and both jobs know of this so i explained to one of my jobs I wanted to be part time I cannot physically do full time hours they said it was fine but kept on putting me on the rota for full time hours. I worked the hours for the last couple weeks but on wednesday the manager I had was leaving and the new manager to start yesterday (thursday). so tuesday and wednesday I was working 8:30am until 11;30pm then wednesday i went out for a couple drinks to say bye to my manger only had 3 knowing I had work in the next day . Anyway I worked my morning shift at my 1st job but only dne light duties because I was physcally exhausted from working so much. Which I asked my manager at my 2nd if I could have the night of to rest cos I was soo tired, I thought he would try comprimise even say do light duties or something or leave if it quiet but no he shouted at me and said you don't do your shift tonight you will never be allowed back here again. I then said i don't want that to happen cos I want to work here it's just run me down doing 2 jobs and being roted on full time when I only want part time he just again shouted that he doesn't want to dicuss this with me anymore and that i'm not working my shift now anyway and that he is going to change the rota and has put me on one shift a wek but my point of view is that he could of atleast sit down and dicuss the situation with me properly and not raise he voice the whole time and I think it is wrong to straight away say that he doesn't want me back. I had tried to do myshifts and help them out alot and he saw that I did but made me feel like a worthless employee. Sorry its ong but wanted to say everything and so do you think he was out of order the way he acted?

I think people don't know anything about the government because they just don't care. I personally have read many court cases and laws, but I know that most people don't. Why do we have fleas? We have no pets in the house our outside dog has been bathed and doesn't have fleas and I treated the yard. It started about a month ago since then I have vacuumed EVERY day and mopped at least 2 times a week. I have since thrown out the only area rug we had in the house(the rest of the flooring is tile) I have treated all the furniture and upholstery, and washed all bedding and clothing several times. My son is 21 months old and he fell tonight and split his head open we took him to the er and the dr. wiped it clean with a paper towel and tap water then told us he needed staples when I teared up she looked at me and said its not that tramatic i let it go being more worried about my son then her ignorance she came back in and had his dad hold him and stapled his wound. She didnt clean it at all no sanitized water no cotten all she did was put on gloves. She gave no antibitoic no cat scan or xray and sent us on our way. I have had a very light discharge a couple of times before. It lasted like only a day and was only enuff to see it when i wiped, after just the one day or so I would get my period. I had the same discharge about 3 days ago, where it was only bad enuff to see when i wiped. It went away, I thought maybe it was a false alarm for my period; last month it was a little wonky and I shouldnt get this month's for another coupla days. Then it came back today but it's heavier, I've had to wear a pantyliner all day. The other night when it had gone away, I used some summers eve cleansing wipes and my bf said it smelled diff but not better he said it smelled "bitter". I'm paranoid; I always think it smells bad. I am on birth control (orth tri-cyclen lo), and friend have told me sometimes that happens, but theyre not on the same meds and I've never had it this bad. I can't douche; every time I've tried it gives me a yeast infection. I don't think it's a yeast infection or a bladder infection or a uti or anything, and I'm pretty sure I'm not prenant but it's bothering me, gettin kinda worried.

Ice/Water Dispenser not working properly, Help!?

We have a GE side by side that has been working fine since we moved in a year ago. So at first I thought nothing was working when we got home. The switch would not come on for the water or either of the ice options when we pressed in the dispenser lever. Ice was definitely being made, so that wasn't an issue. Then I put some gusto into pushing in the level/dispenser toward the top of it and it started coming out, both the ice and water. I know I shouldn't have to normally press that hard to get it to work. What do you think it could be and how do I fix it? It's a GSL25JFPEBS.

Should we put our 19 year old cat to sleep?

I am very sorry to hear about your cat's cancer, as long as he is eating and drinking, and still is able to use the litter box, and plays. I would try calling a different vet they might be able to help, give it a try. I had 3 cat's about 6 yrs ago, the 1 female I had to put down because she had diabetes, she would not use the litter box she would not even eat, so my husband said that lets take her to vet and have her put down. But what I am telling you is, please try and call a different vet, he might still have a chance we try and do all we can for our pets, but the good thing is he is still eating and drinking and using the litter box and that is a good sign. Are all children like this?

I have a one in a half year old. My entire life revolves around taking care of her, picking up after her and catering to her needs ( which is to be expected). However, I can't decorate my home, my house is a desolate empty place with nothing but toys. I have one chair at the table in the kitchen to be able to eat at but she constantly climbs on it and on top of the table despite time-outs and consistent discipline. I feel like I am constantly yelling at her all the time because when I use my patient voice and manner it gets me no where. I can't leave her alone to go to the bathroom or start the car outside because she immediately finds something unsafe to do. I can't relax during the day and fold laundry or watch a movie because she constantly wants to be entertained. I have to hide things from her all the time, like the cell phone, my car keys, the lap top computer ect. She doesn't take naps very well though I have kept a consistent nap schedule, at night time when it is time to go to bed it is even worse. My doctor says I am doing a lot of right things and she commends me on my discipline but what she doesn't know is I feel so trapped inside my home with no freedom and I constantly am miserable because I do not have enough independent time. My husband knows how I feel, but there is nothing he can do because one of us has to work. Are all kids like this? Can anyone relate?? Thanks!

Maybe I got my mind conditioned to ism from watching too much TV, but it's all I can come up with; the poem's about a woman in love with another woman who is in love with a man. The speaker sees her by candlelight, with her man on a terrace, a man that is not convinced about the other woman's love. The speaker is jealous, and as she approaches her with the candle, her beloved scorches her finger in the flame to show how much the speaker causes her pain. It's done deliberately and intuitively as a way to defeat the love of the speaker (Cupid's aim). The speaker then doesn't think the beloved knows herself, that she is a , but tells her to never mind her grieving heart, as it comes from other affairs better left unseen. The speaker tells her she tries to forget their nights, the old gray wrinkles in her brain, but she still cannot forget.

Engine gerks going down the road,cuts off some time when recranking the car back up?

my1999 olds alero v6 engine started gerking and lost power so i replaced the engine with a 2003 used engine with low miles, and its skipping to. and when i cut the car off some times say to get gas and try to restart the car it will cut off. i haft to restart it several times and give it gas to keep it running then its fine, and will keep runing. ive replaced spark plugs.wires,fuel filter ,and my mecanic has reset the COMPUTER , disconnected the BATTERY for a few mins. then reset the COMPUTER by rebing up the engine 5 time to the reb limitor ,but car doesent show any bad codes .my mecanic doesn't no what is causeing the problem hes asked me if i can live with it .im warried it may do damage to the engine down the road .if theres any one that can help me please let me no . im wondering could it be the fly wheel are tork convertor ,or fuel pump?my gas Gage stoped working a while back and i plan on replacing it soon. i don't wont to mess up this engine ive sunk a lot of money in to my car .help me if you can.!!!!!!!

I believe the changes that we are seeing has more to do with the reversal of the poles which is currently in process. This happens every 750,000 years or so. Update to delays in Tax Refund?

I am in the same boat as you, I efiled 1/19, accepted 1/20 and as of this date (2/24) still get the reference code 1301. I have called IRS about 10 different times and each time told something differeent. On 2/19 I was told that it "was" in errors resolution dept but as of that date, it was out of that dept and had a "supervisor suspend status" on it, but they don't know what that means. Told me to wait at least 6 wks for either my refund or a ltr in the mail. Six wks will be up on March 2. So if the WMR site doesn't change this wednesday, I know I will not be getting it within the 6 wk time frame and can expect them to send me a ltr. I hope you have better luck then me. Brain shivers... after stopping medication? help please?

I had no idea there was a such thing. I was prescribed effexor for depression and after the first prescription was gone I decided to stop taking it, because it made me nauseous after I took it and some other side effect, dry mouth etc. So lately I've been getting this weird kind of shiver going on and I just googled it and wikepedia said it was brain shivers caused from withdrawal of antidepressants. I have a followup appt on fri. should I start taking it again. this shiver thing is kind of freaking me out. Obviously I have problems. I have an issue with taking meds. I usually don't even take cold medicine. I finally took this antidepressant because I was desperate. I may be bipolar or something. Buy lots of things like candles/lanterns/paper doilies/pretty plates and cups/flamingos for outside/fairy lights etc. to make it feel like a proper alice in wonderland party and you could even set up a game of croquet (the game the queen of hearts plays in the film if you didn't know) and turn it into a drinking game or something somehow! another idea is to dot playing cards round the table with markers and have a box so that guests can write messages on them and leave them for you to keep. that way you could make a kind of scrapbook to keep afterwards with photos and the playing cards etc :) i wouldn't worry about the venue. it's fun to organize an event from scratch and you can keep a lot of the things you buy to use again. you also have the benefit that people can arrive and leave when they like whereas a venue might throw you out early. A spa day is a nice idea but it can be a bit pricey. I'm going to get my hair and nails etc. done with friends on the day and going out for afternoon tea afterwards :) My local bar has a 'mad hatters tea party' where you get a teapot filled with tail and little cups and saucers to drink from so thats another idea. Be creative, have fun, take lots of photos and don't worry if you aren't in a glitzy venue. You can always go out for a night in town either after the party if it's early evening or another night soon after. Ticketing due to poor road conditions made a stop impossible.?

I was leaving my daughters basketball game the other night and the county officer was sitting in a parking lot next to the stop sign. The game was in a small town and they don't maintain the roads as diligently as the highways. They are mostly snow-packed and icy. Due to these conditions I was unable to make a complete stop. I did attempt with no avail and the office was able to see all that had happened. Instead of informing the county to lay down a salt-dirt mix he followed me for six blocks and issued me a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign. Well it's not much but, I used two card board boxes. I cut off one side of each and put one into the other, I taped it up so it's nice and stable. I then, carved a door into the front and made two windows. I made a good sized hole in the side of the front box and I put the part of a plastic hanger where it curves into the hole. On that, I tied a string with a feather tied to it. Im going to put a blanket inside, maybe add another level.... I don't know what else to do. Sorry there is no pic. Mexico For 7 Nights???

Well it all depends on how much you are willing to spend. If you stay at an all inclusive, high end hotel or if you are easily pleased by not so high end. You have to consider that 7 days really turns into 5 days since 1 day to fly there and 1 to fly back. Also think of the location you want to stay which seems to me that you want to relax. Cancun is more of a party town. I would suggest a city south of Cancun called Playa Del Carmen which is about 40miles(64km) from Cancun. This is the place you can relax all day. There is a chain of hotels in playa called RIU that many people from England come it is popular hotel.I stayed for 10 days this past April and it ran me 4000 usd(2800eur) with flight for two people from Texas,USA.. But be warned that the beaches at these hotels are almost non-existent because they have been washed away and there are HUGE sand bags to try to stop the beach from disappearing. Good thing is that the city is a 5 mile(8km) taxi ride it would get you there fast or if you prefer you could walk it but not much people do it more than once,once they notice that is a good distance. If you don't mind going a little further south to the Grand Palladium Resort(s) this is the place to stay the rooms are way better and the beach is awesome. They are 4 resorts in one so you can pick which one you would like to stay. If you want an ocean view stay in the White Sands hotel.

dude i have that guitar and that amp! ive had my washburn lyon since i was 10 and i just got that amp recently. yes the lyon is pretty cheap but you would be suprised how much better it would sound if you replaced the pickups. that guitar really limits the amps sound because the guitar doesnt have much range. it will sound pretty good for clean stuff and alright for metal stuff. i recommend getting a cheap jackson guitar on ebay, but yeah you should be good to go

I've been in my position for about 4 months now. For English cl, I have to pick a book that was either written by a woman or features female characters in leading roles.
